Feeling PROUDLY South African, hence the insertion of our "beautiful" flag onto OSMOSIS title bar.
• wiki.answers.com
claims that the colours stand for the following:

Red: bloodshed of activists
White: white population
Blue: skies or the ocean, since SA is bordered by 2 oceans
Yellow: minerals
Green: agriculture and land
Black: the non-white population or Mr Mandela, the ex-head of SA.

The South African government's official website stresses the following:

"Individual colours, or colour combinations represent different meanings for different people and therefore no universal symbolism should be attached to any of the colours."

WHAT DO YOU THINK THE COLOURS STAND FOR?

Exhibition "Coordinates" gets television coverage.
Desere Mouton and Nathi Gumede were filmed for an insert on DSTV's Supersport Channel 200 that was screened on 25/06. I hope to get the footage from the media house_ will keep you posted.

Jenna my niece said that on her drive home from Umhlanga to Ridge Road in Durban... one day she counted 750 South African Flags... It sounds impossible...
Try it
... remember some cars have 3 flags [2x side mirrors and a window flag].
This is an image of my car sock taken at the berg...

a juxtaposition of the bright flag colours against the barren isolated landscape of Injusuthi

Thinking of using the Soccer World Cup as a starting point. Please make comments and tell us some stories of some of your experiences so far. It would be SUPER fantastic if you could send some images of your own. Lets get this conversation rolling...
